2024年ラストはハワイで初めてのソフトボールクリニックが行われました。
現地時間12/28〜12/29の2日間、ハワイソフトボール連盟主催のソフトボールクリニックが開催され、日本から女子ソフトボール日本代表の宇津木麗華ヘッドコーチ、上野由岐子選手、石川恭子選手、元日本代表の山田恵里氏、我妻悠香コーチが講師として招待されました。
クリニック参加者はハワイの10歳〜18歳までのソフトボールプレイヤーが中心で大学生も一部含まれていました。

両日とも朝8時から夕方5時までのフルスケジュールで行われ、参加者は5つのグループに分かれ、講師は1人1グループを担当し、時間を区切って入れ替わるというユニークなシステムでした。

会場はワイキキから車で30分ほどのSand Island内にあるMauli Ola Sports Complexで、ソフトボール場が４面揃った会場です。
ハワイはとても過ごしやすい気候で、虹も出やすく、2日目は早朝に雨が降ったこともあり1日中虹が架かっていました。

ハワイソフトボール連盟代表のJON OKADA氏は、「ここへ来るまで苦労も多かったが無事に開催できてとても嬉しく思う。今後も継続して開催していきたい」と嬉しそうに話してくれました。

The last event of 2024 was the first softball clinic in Hawaii.
A softball clinic was held for two days, from December 28th to 29th local time, sponsored by the Hawaii Softball Association, and head coach Reika Utsugi, player Yukiko Ueno, Eri Yamada, coach Yuka Wagatsuma, and player Kyoko Ishikawa were invited from Japan as instructors. The
clinic participants were mainly softball players aged 10 to 18 in Hawaii, including some university students.

Both days had a full schedule from 8am to 5pm, with participants split into five groups and each instructor in charge of one group, rotating between them at set times. It was a unique system.

The venue was the Mauli Ola Sports Complex in Sand Island, about 30 minutes by car from Waikiki, and it has four softball courts.
Hawaii has a very pleasant climate and rainbows are easy to see. On the second day, it rained early in the morning, so rainbows were visible all day.

Jon Okada, representative of the Hawaii Softball Association, said with a smile, "We had a lot of difficulties getting here, but I'm very happy that we were able to hold the event without any problems. I would like to continue holding this event in the future."
